PLCLogix® 500 PLC Simulator

A robust alternative to the discontinued LogixPro®.

PLCLogix 500 is a robust alternate to Learning Pit LogicPro.

The PLCLogix 500 simulates the functionality of Logix 500. This robust PLC simulator provides much-needed "hands-on" experience in operating RSLogix software and related PLC hardware. It features realistic 3D-World simulation environments combined with a Ladder Logic simulator to accomplish this. By combining ladder logic programming with 3D simulation, users gain tremendous insight into the operation of real-world PLC systems.

Features:

  • Perpetual License (No subscription fees).
  • Never Expires
  • Compatible with all Windows OS.
  • The ladder logic and the controller organizer are in the same format as the RSLogix 500®.
  • Windows-based functions, including Help and Search.
  • I/O chassis includes discrete I/O modules, BCD, and analog I/O.
  • 14 versions of simulated worlds, 100s of prewritten ladder logic examples.
  • The PLCLogix 500 simulator features 65 simulated PLC instructions.
  • It provides a simple, realistic method of entering and editing ladder logic programs.
  • School/company discounts for purchases over 15 installations.
  • Network floating licensed versions are available.

Although the RSLogix 500® is older than the RSLogix 5000®, it is North America's most used controller platform, with the 5000 (PAC) being the most common in new equipment. So, getting some hands-on experience with the PLCLogix 500 Simulator is essential.

The Graphic User Interface (GUI) for PLCLogix has the same features and functionality as RSLogix. PLCLogix allows the learner to write a program, see the program's operation using a ladder logic simulator, and control the program's operation from within this interactive environment.

To properly understand the operation of PLC systems, it is necessary to spend considerable time programming, testing, and debugging ladder logic programs. Physical PLCs are expensive, and downtime is costly.

Using PLCLogix, the learner can gain much-needed programming practice by creating and running their ladder logic programs and observing the program operation with an I/O rack simulation or one of the 14 interactive 3D worlds. PLCLogix functionality includes a graphical controller organizer and a point-and-click method of configuring various I/O. The analog input signals simulated are voltage, current, resistance, and temperature. Each of the four channels has a default setting of one of these signals.

PLCLogix also includes a free-form ladder editor that allows the learner to modify multiple rungs of logic simultaneously. The PLCLogix's 65 PLC instructions categories are Bit Instructions, Timer and Counter Instructions, Program Control, Compare, Math, Advanced Math, Move/Logical, Array Shift, and Sequencer Instructions.

SAVE 10%! - The bundle purchase option below refers to the PLCTrainer, the Koldwater course download for RSLogix 500 training. If you do not have experience with the 500 series PLCs, choose the bundle and take the included PLCTrainer course first.
